If so, you’ll be fascinated to learn about a newly developed tool NASA scientists hope to use in the search for alien life in our solar system. The tool has been called a “chemical laptop,” because it is small enough to be transported easily by a rover, and has the ability to analyze samples for signs of life.
Developed by a team of scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, it is a groundbreaking piece of technology, and would be the first tool capable of analyzing both amino acids and fatty acids, which can suggest signs of life when discovered in certain ratios.
While the project is still in a stage of development, early field tests have been successful, and the device looks promising!
